Debt Management –
Debt being pursued by Medina will not go away and it can be difficult to see a way out of debt. Fee charging Debt Management Companies say they can deal with everything for you by making individual arrangements with your creditors on your behalf. This is true you will find such a company will take a fee to do this, resulting in you taking longer to repay your debts and you remaining in debt for longer.
There are however, organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Consumer Credit Counselling Service, PayPlan and the National Debtline that can assist you in a similar way for free. By helping you to catalogue your debts, make a budget, make fair and reasonable offers of repayment to your debtors and advising you of alternative routes to help you pay your debts.
If you chose to take this route, you will need to provide organisation with authority to discuss your case with Medina before we are able to talk to them about your debt with us.
You should also call to advise us of the organisation, reference number and the person dealing with your case. Only when you provide us with this information will we put your case on hold pending an offer of repayment from the debt management organisation.
